Title: Material & Corrosion Specialist

Overview

KBR Abu Dhabi is currently looking to fill the position of Material & Corrosion Specialist for an offshore PMC project to be based in Abu Dhabi City in the EPC contractor's office.

Responsibilities

• Minimum of 17+ years of experience in oil and gas fields in material and corrosion for offshore/onshore projects.
• Proficient in corrosion software and tools.
• Good interpersonal relationship, planning, and organizing skills.
• Strong knowledge of materials for use in sour service requirements and in-depth knowledge of NACE standards MR0175/ISO 15156, MR0103, TM 0177, TM 0284.
• Sound understanding of material/corrosion failure investigation studies for in-service and projects, establishing root cause analysis, and suggesting mitigation actions to avoid reoccurrence.
• Familiarity with the use of non-metallics in oil and gas applications.
• Good knowledge of corrosion mitigations such as chemical injection, inhibitors/biocides, cathodic protection (CP), internal coatings, and cladding.
• Strong communication skills (written and oral) to clarify technical concepts to all levels of stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in metallurgical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
