Job description / Role
Our school is seeking to appoint a Math Teacher where her main duties and responsibilities are to:
• Plan, develop and execute lessons that reflect the curriculum and core educational standards
• Evaluate student progress and the ability to meet course standards in mathematical knowledge and skills
• Establish and maintaining standards of student behavior
• Plan and developing lesson plans and teaching agendas
• Employ a variety of methodologies in teaching and instructing pupils, including demonstrations, discussions and lectures
• Create a syllabus that is appropriate for grade level or class being taught
• Conduct classroom and lab activities according to program requirements
• Develop and maintain relationships with students in order to monitor and resolve student concerns and learning deficits
• Direct students to appropriate resources to help solve individual issues
• Deliver engaging and motivating lessons to students across all key stages
• Use the school behaviour policy in setting high standards and expectations for students
• Use ICT books and other learning technology in the planning and delivery of lessons
The successful candidate should have a minimum of two years working experience as a Math Teacher in a school environment.
Requirements
• Bachelor of Education with a major in Math, Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Bachelor in Mathematics
• 2- years experience as a teacher
Skills
• High degree of flexibility
• Excellent communication skills in English; both oral and written
• Ability to work well in a fast paced environment
• Exhibits patience and understanding when working with students
