Role overview

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic maths teacher to join our inspired and passionate team at Horizon International School. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning while challenging all learners to achieve their full potential. They will bring energy and enthusiasm to their teaching, serving as a role model for students and demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and development. As part of our inclusive and collaborative school community, the role involves planning and delivering high-quality lessons that prioritise deep thinking, engagement, and challenge for every student. The teacher will foster strong partnerships with parents and colleagues to support studentsu2019 learning and development and contribute to the vibrant extracurricular life of the school by leading or supporting activities that enrich the student experience.

  • Demonstrates a passion for teaching and a deep commitment to inspiring and challenging all learners
  • Utilises strong subject knowledge to plan and deliver engaging, effective, and impactful lessons
  • Skilled in designing lessons that encourage all students to think deeply and engage purposefully in their learning
  • Strong ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of an inclusive student community
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Reflective and proactive in their practice, continuously seeking professional growth and development
  • Effective in managing time and workload, demonstrating resilience and enthusiasm in a dynamic school environment

Successful candidates will have

  • Bachelor of Education or PGCE with appropriate specialism
  • Experience teaching in a UK setting or renowned British curriculum international school
  • Experience teaching
