Gulf Business Unit is one of the 5 Business Units within North Africa and Middle East MCO. The BU consists of 5 countries- UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar and operates on a hybrid model of Joint ventures and Distributor management. The business has a turnover of apx 500 M Euros and is one of the most profitable businesses within Unilever. Customer Development as a function consists of apx 250 employees.

Location: MCO MEPS (Dubai, UAE)

Business context and main purpose of the job
•Develop best solutions for the MCO for FOOD (sub)categories
•Drive MCO Marketing to execute brand and need (states) driven communication and activation

Main Accountabilities

General:
•Implement set category strategy, segmentation and deployment for all food categories, with focus on Savoury
•Manage Marketing Mix and drive perfect execution via local MCO teams
•Category Marketing:
•Deliver OTIF innovation / renovations and rejuvenations
•Project Chicken Seasoning
•Project Hummus
•Project Savoury Roll-out Basket
•Project Shaheen (Portfolio Need States Follow-up)
•Project Arabia (Portfolio Need States Follow-up)
•Project Pack Reno Arabic SKUs
•Collect market, operator-needs and competition understanding linked to projects and category initiatives
•Product: Develop exceptional product experiences based on CMI research
•Packaging: Develop artwork (claims) in line with brand and regulatory guidelines
•Proposition: Create Brand Experience Toolkits for innovation / big activation projects
•Price: Set strategic pricing, and drive quality volume estimations with MCO, drive solid business cases with MCO and Finance
•Promotion: Deliver campaign ideas with agency partners based on global/cluster BCI
•Place: Guide on-off line execution in push-pull activation with indicative KPI setting
•Deliver Post Launch Evaluations: Gravy, Jus, Chicken Shawarma
•Portfolio marketing:
•Drive top 10 Action plan for core Food SKUs
•Product: Manage and rationalise foods product portfolio based on performance
•Packaging: Implement brand guidelines / regulatory changes across product portfolio
•Promotion: Drive adoption of global/cluster BET into MCO Operator Journeys
•Place: Check for Integrated Demand creation and KPIs in Best operator Journeys
•Proposition & Price: Check for sharp sales essentials execution with MCO marketing and chefs e.g. cutting guides, selling stories
•Interface with other MCO functions:
•Lead Business and Innovation Reviews in local LT meetings
•Input into Perfect Launch with MCO Marketing & CD
•Interface with Artwork Excellence group, Legal, Regulatory
