Employment: Full Time

This role works as a seconded sales and marketing manager at MEBCO (Exclusive Producer of ACDelco Maintenance Free Batteries in the Middle East and specific countries in Africa); and aims to maximize sales revenues to ensure adequate GM Marketing Fees generated for the business.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the 22 key battery distributors in 15 markets (10 Middle East and 5 Africa) to execute a sustainable long-term strategy. The strategy should ensure hitting the sales targets and GM Marketing Fees
• Provide a sustainable long-term growth strategy to re-inforce the leading market share in the region
• Establish annual sales targets based on market potential and growth plans
• Provide market based strategies and go-to-market plans to protect the leading market share in mature markets and furnish a penetration strategy in emerging markets (Africa)
• Set annual sales targets and marketing budgets and plans (4P’s) to be approved by the Board of Directors
• Develop 5 year strategic plan that will help filling the capacity of the plant in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
• Maximize GM Marketing Fees generated from the approved sales revenues
• Maintain healthy business relationship with all stakeholders involved in the business; GM, MEBCO, JCI, Board of Directors as well as the Battery Distribution network
• Ensure proper price positioning to sustain the leading market share as well as maximize the Marketing Fees paid to GM
• Continuous recommendation on how to maximize GM’s Marketing Fees generated from the sales revenues
• Approve the volume and marketing budgets through the MEBCO Board of Directors
• Manage Battery Distributor network; appoint, re-organize and terminate as required
• Plan the production, sales and inventory at the distributors level

Organization:
• Work with a cross functional organization; GM , MEBCO and Johnson Controls (JCI)
• MEBCO local management including the General Manager, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, and supply chain(PC&L) as well as with JCI management in Europe and the MEBCO Board of Directors
• Manage a team in the sales and marketing department at MEBCO (7 members)

Manage the battery distributors overall performance , including but not limited to:
• Battery sales out objectives
• Planned production volume
• Efficient stock management
• Effective use of sales & marketing budget
• Maintain, update, and obtain dealer buy-off and agreement on battery sales and production forecasts (SSOR - Sales Stock Order Report)

• Lead Volume Discussion meetings with dealers to finalize and agree on future sales and production volume targets
• Ensure proper inventory management at a Battery Distributor level (Shelf Life)

Requirements

• College degree preferably in business (MBA is a plus)
• Five or more years professional experience in Sales or consulting experience preferably Automotive
• Business Management knowledge
• High level of knowledge of the sales disciplines and market dynamic from a variety of perspectives

GM has 2 facilities here in Middle East one is in Dubai World Trade Centre and the other, Middle East Distribution Corporation, which is located in Jebel Ali.
