Mechanical Cad Draftsman

Job description / Role

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for mechanical parts and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations to develop designs.
• Modify and revise drawings based on engineer feedback and design changes.
• Create Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Coordinate with engineers, fabricators, and other departments for seamless project execution.
• Maintain an organized drawing database and update drawing records as required.
• Perform site visits or liaise with the production team when necessary for dimension verification or troubleshooting.

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a mechanical draftsman or in a similar role.
• Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
• Good knowledge of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and material properties.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
