Description
At IRTH Group, we are shaping the future with innovation, precision, and excellence. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented procurement engineer to join our dynamic construction team.
About the role
As a building service mechanical design engineer, you will be required to work with a team to develop successful projects through clear strategy and proactive commitment.
Responsibility
- Experience in performing design calculations for optimization and compliance with applicable standards and codes.
- Have decent experience in the efficient review of mechanical systems design (HVAC, fire fighting, drainage, water, LPG).
- Familiar with proposed designs to follow the latest energy-efficient design criteria.
- Expertise with alternative design solutions to render the projects viable and within allocated budget.
- Familiar with providing technical assistance to concerned departments, liaison with architects, structural engineers, and site visits (whenever required) to support the project team.
- Specific areas of anticipated technical skills include:
- Good knowledge of construction techniques.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
- Strong attention to detail, team working, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Good proficiency in written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record in building services design with different types of sectors.
- Strong software capability and proficiency in IES, HAP, Hevacomp, AutoCAD.
- Excellent knowledge of local and international design standards, BS-EN, CIBSE, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of local statutory authorities’ regulations and submission requirements across the Middle East, mainly UAE - Dubai.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in building services or mechanical engineering.
- Chartered member of an internationally recognized professional body (e.g., CIBSE, ASHRAE).
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the Middle East.
