Mechanical Draftsman

Job description / Role

Job Responsibilities:

1. Prepares a wide range of technical drawings for on-site project implementation.
2. Extracts quantities from tender documents and studies their specifications to produce shop drawings.
3. Preparation of all detailed Shop drawings, construction drawings and As built drawing for structural and Architectural.
4. Issues drawings for site use and coordinates with on-site staff when required.
5. Coordinates with Electrical Dept. for Electrical design.
6. Coordinates with Mechanical for Mechanical design.
7. Coordinates with Steel Support Engineer for steel design.
8. Verifies consultant drawings for inaccuracies and to produce precise drawings.
9. Incorporates materials approved by Material Engineer into shop drawings.
10. Produces new drawings to incorporate design changes, additions and variation orders as per client/consultant requirements.
11. Assist in the processing of building permit approval from respective authorities (municipality) for all drawings.
12. Maintain and ensures the drawing revisions when new revisions are in use.
13. Carries out site visits on demand.
14. Files finished drawings (electronically on the server as well as hard copies in the hanger) as per Engineering Dept. policy.
15. Maintain and keep old jobs Electronic copy in C.D. for reference when required.
16. Assist in the training and development of drafting personnel.
17. Act as an Internal Auditor for ISO formalities.

Requirements

- Must be available to join the company in less than 1 month upon selection
- Must have experience working on the same positions (minimum of 5 years)
- Preferably within the Construction.
- Must hold a Bachelor's Degree (Fully Attested Diploma)
