Mechanical Engineer

Job description / Role

• Review, interpret, and coordinate mechanical designs and drawings for hospital and mid-level tower projects.
• Manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, international standards, and client requirements.
• Collaborate closely with architects, electrical engineers, MEP teams, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and propose corrective actions.
• Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure installation quality and adherence to specifications.
• Assist in preparing project schedules, progress reports, and cost estimates.
• Provide technical support during design development and construction phases.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve mechanical-related issues efficiently.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the UAE construction sector.
• Experience working on hospitals and mid-level towers is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, DEWA requirements, and international mechanical standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant engineering software.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification or membership in a recognized engineering body.
• Experience in project management or site supervision.
• Familiarity with sustainable building practices and energy-efficient systems.

Salary:
AED 10,000 to 20,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
