Mechanical Project Engineer

Job description / Role

• Prepares and assigns manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, and tools for all AC works prior to execution.
• Plans and analyses construction methodologies and recommends the most effective options to the Project Manager for approval.
• Submits daily site reports, inspection requests, and required monitoring documentation.
• Supports the Project Manager in achieving project objectives and targets for AC works on site.
• Ensures all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
• Implements ISO quality checklists stage-wise and obtains approvals from the Main Contractor and Consultant.
• Ensures full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sanitary standards for all AC personnel.
• Interprets construction drawings and applicable standards before commencement of works.
• Provides engineering and technical support to all AC work teams on site.
• Plans and coordinates AC activities with electro-mechanical and civil teams.
• Prepares material and equipment comparison charts from three vendors.
• Develops work schedules in line with the Main Contractor’s construction programme for review and approval.
• Prepares as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and project close-out documentation.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, AC installation, and related mechanical works.
• Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Project planning, coordination, and site management.
• Quality control and assurance according to ISO and project standards.
• Vendor evaluation and material/equipment comparison.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
• Proficient in preparing reports, documentation, and close-out manuals.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Salary:
AED 10,000 to 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
