Job description / Role
Scope of Work:
Under the direct supervision of the Construction Manager, the Site Mechanical Engineer plans, controls and monitors the actual execution of all electrical related works of the project, to ensure that the project will be done in accordance with all the approved construction drawings, contract documents, specifications and all applicable standards
Duties:
- Supervise the works of relevant mechanical (HVAC / PH/FF / Utilities) Contractors to insure quality and that constructions/installations are in accordance with drawings, specifications and local regulations.
- Follow quality assurance procedures for review and inspection of installations throughout the project period.
- Attend coordination meetings and anticipate potential problem areas and solve them before they occur.
- Assist in reviewing method statements
- Prepare job site instructions to facilitate the contractor's progress.
- Review and approve installations and constructions
- Inspect deliveries/installed/constructed work to ensure that it is in accordance with the shop drawings and the specifications
- Issue field observation report and none compliance reports (NCR).
- Witness testing and commissioning of various plant and systems
- Snag defects / outstanding minor work for the Contractor to action and follow up on their progress
- Review 'As Built Drawings' to ensure correctness, completeness and that they are in-line with the specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar field.
- Good experience in HVAC or PL/FF.
