Mechanical Technician

Job description / Role

- Process piping systems; clear plugged waste lines, piping/accessories for compressors, circulators, roof drains, fire system devices, rain water leaders, sewage lift pump stations, domestic water systems, water treatment systems, sinks, fountains, drains, various types of plumbing fixtures, etc. Maintain and repair piping, tanks, draining systems; install, service, repair, and adjust pumps, valves
- Plan piping assemblies with respect to walls, structures and other obstructions, allowing for expansion and contraction and alignment in accordance with pipefitting practice including studying building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations; cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings; cutting and threading pipes; and joining pipes by use of screws bots, fittings, or solder.
- Carry out emergency, planned and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment and other apparatus as requested.
- Respond to emergency calls that are a result of mechanical/plumbing failure both during and after regular hours of work. .
- Ensure that all work is done according to standard trade practices.
- Maintain clean and orderly conditions in all working areas, including shop.
- Ensure duties are performed in fiscally responsible manner while observing all safety practices and regulations

Requirements

- At least 2 years technician experience in repairing Blow Molding Machine

Specialist knowledge:
- Manufacturing Operations Support
- Machine repair
- Welding

Soft Skills and Personality traits:
- Having an analytical mind.
- Ability to problem solve in a logical way.
