Mechanical Technician

Job description / Role

On behalf of our client a semi-government company that is based at JAFZA, we are looking to recruit a UAE National Mechanical Technician. Reporting to the Mechanical and Fabrication Team Lead you will be responsible for executing the day-to-day maintenance of the offshore and onshore mechanical systems ensuring that the integrity, reliability, availability and maintainability of relevant mechanical equipment is preserved so that production targets are achieved, apply constant use and review of best practice maintenance tactics and provide first line onshore support for the execution of the planned and corrective maintenance strategies necessary to maintain and repair equipment.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have 2-3 years experience in a mechanical repair shop (suitable experience may come from the heavy auto trade/truck repair, shipyard, marine industry or pump and compressor repair contractors), be degree educated in mechanical engineering be able to read technical drawings and analyze the functions with excellent communication skills in English.
