Job Title Mechanical Technician
Unit Ports
Accountable To
- To provide efficient and economical maintenance service for Mobile Harbor Cranes, Terminal Tractors, Forklifts etc by carrying out tasks defined by Supervision.
Responsible for
Core Responsibilities:
- Carrying out maintenance, fault finding and monitoring of the Mobile Harbour Cranes, Terminal Tractors, Forklifts and other Port Equipment and carries out the tasks assigned by Supervisor .
- Follow standard engineering practices ensures maximum operational availability of Mobile Equipment by diagnostic work and repair methods.
- Carries out duties independently when called out and reports breakdowns and faults.
- Ensures that emergency work is followed up by reporting to supervision.
- Details of the job carried out to be written in the provided work orders, including the man hours
- Ensures that work is undertaken in a safe manner and that practices conform to safety regulations and procedures as defined by Ports.
- Ensures accurate up to date information is provided for input into the CMMS System.
- Ensures tidiness and cleanliness of workshop facilities and all equipment he is responsible for.
- Will keep him "abreast" of all the latest technologies relating to this industry and attend any training provided.

- Carries out duties independently when called out and reports breakdowns and faults.
- Adhere to the safety measures identified in the Risk Assessments, Operation procedures and other HSE procedures.
- Report HSE observation, near miss and incidents.
Requirements
Qualifications/Experience/Competencies
- High School, Diploma in Mechanical
- Ability to write in a clear concise manner and to communicate effectively in Arabic & English.
- Knowledge of other Languages will be an advantage.
- Workshop, Mechanical works expertise
