Mechanical Technician

Job description / Role

• Follow the rules & regulations of the company
• Take daily rounds of all plant, check and report for any abnormality
• Understand the job clearly prior to start the work and to ensure the safety and quality of the work.
• Utilize spares etc. in an effective way
• Work as a team with other operation & maintenance sections & optimize various activities
• Perform preventive, corrective and other maintenance programs as assigned in an effective manner & thus ensure timely completion of the work.
• Prevent corrosion by cleaning and painting equipment.
• Monitor and maintain all mechanical equipment in best possible ways;
• Ensure cleanliness of the area, equipment & tools after completion of work
• Manage his personal tool box and personal protective equipment.
• Understand, adhere, apply and carry out tasks and duties in accordance with QSE policies, rules and procedures
• Report QHSE risks and impacts associated with its activities
• On Call Duty and work overtime when required
• Any specific request from his manager and engineer has to be respected
• Troubleshooting of equipment
• Any other responsibility/work assigned by management

• Understand technical drawings & symbols
• Team spirit, Business ethics, punctuality, honesty
• Troubleshoot root causes of malfunctioning and break down
• Work under minimum supervision
• Write, read & speak in English
• Building operation practices and procedures.
• Safe practices and procedures, standards and conduct and work performance.
• Understandings of Pumps, motors, instruments, compressors, Air conditioners & generator.
