Employment: Full Time

The Media Sales Executive must be able to promote and sell digital/print advertising solutions and event sponsorships for varied international media titles focusing on Entrepreneur’s and SME’s in the MENA region.Our ideal candidate will be goal oriented, is a relentless hunter, driving to win new businesses, and has a track record of exceeding monthly goals. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Studies and understands all facets of the media products and services being offered
- Creating tailored ideas and structured media plans that answer your clients requested proposals
- Explains the benefits and potential audience of specific media offerings to potential clients
- Details pricing and negotiates costs when necessary
- Facilitates successful sales by collecting client information and providing order information to the company
- Tracks every media purchase made to ensure that it is completed accurately and meets deadlines.
- Works to maximize sales and meet quotas in the short and long term
- Attend meetings to ensure clients are fully aware of all potential advertising, promotion and sponsorship opportunities and to cement customer relationships for long term.
- Involved in regular analysis of competitor activity and identifying opportunities for new product development and new revenue streams.
- Attend industry networking events, exhibitions, seminars and conferences to build awareness of your industry and meet potential and existing clients.
- Work closely with the editorial features team to ensure all leads are covered and relevant information exchanged to the benefit of both parties.
- Collaborate with media teams to ensure advertisements are placed accurately on the correct forums and as per client’s specifications and requirements.
- Connect with existing clients to arrange the design and placement of advertisements, the payments for this and to ensure their continued support.

Requirements

- The ability to persuade and convince people of the merits of a product.
- The ability and confidence to negotiate with people and close them into making decisions.
- A target orientated disposition and the desire to sell and meet targets.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with a variety of people from varying backgrounds.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Flexibility and willingness to proactively add ideas and innovation to the business
- Previous sales or media experience achieving or exceeding targets required.
- Prior knowledgeable understanding and experience of the media publishing business is a must.
- Commercial awareness and networking ability.
- Drive, determination, persistence, resilience and tenacity.
- Strategic and creative planning.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
