Mediterranean Specialty Restaurant Manager - Arabic Speaking

Responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the Mazaj BAB outlet and to ensure that all guests receive superior service.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage , responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- A ll areas of guest service and core standards including the creation of new ideas to assist with the continued development of the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr's image as a leader in food and service offerings and as a Food & Beverage destination.
- Leading and coaching all colleagues and leaders in the department.
- Overall recruiting, staffing and scheduling ensuring adequate staffing levels to satisfy guest needs.
- Establish and implement 5 star service levels.
- Create and implement colleague-training initiatives.
- Creating and implementing a preventative cleaning and maintenance program.
- Work together with the culinary & stewarding team to ensure that all food service meets or exceeds guest expectations and to promote teamwork as a strong component of the daily service culture.
- Monitoring and continued development of Food & Beverage controls.
- Participate in service as necessary in accordance with restaurant needs
- Control stocks for daily use in the restaurant to ensure service requirement of the are met
- Create and innovate new ideas and promotion to generate revenue
- Ensuring Safe and Healthy work environment
- Participate in the preparation of the Food and Beverage department budget and goals
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Food & Beverage

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Previous Food and Beverage leadership experience required
- Previous point of sale system experience required
- University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Abu Dhabi. Fairmont Bab Al Bahr will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
