MENA Region HR Business Partner

The MENA region HR business partner will translate business goals into prioritised HR requirements and ensure the effective delivery of HR services throughout the MENA business units.

Responsible for leading the MENA HR function for our construction, property & infrastructure consultancy business, based in our Dubai head office. Operating as a member of the leadership team with line management responsibility for the HR and PRO staff across multiple business units.

You will work with the regional leadership team, the international HR business partner and the group HR management team, on a strategic and operational basis, providing hands on HR input to the development and execution of the business plans.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing input on the HR implications of strategy and business plans.
• Being a catalyst for developing and implementing people management policies and processes, working with leadership teams, ensuring consistent delivery of the HR function across all business areas.
• Leading regular talent identification exercises across the business in line with agreed principles ensuring leadership teams are fully engaged in talent identification and succession processes.
• Supporting the organisation in enhancing business operations through improving performance, capability and motivation of its people through appropriate use of diagnostic tools, data and development of action plans.
• Developing and deliver resourcing, talent and succession plans.
• Developing a performance culture through coaching, facilitating talent assessments and succession planning meetings.
• Analysing people data to identify trends and issues which inform priorities and plans.
• Ensuring the business unit Directors focus on performance management, ER, engagement and retention activities.
• Working closely with the Recruitment function to facilitate resource requirements across the MENA region.
• Supporting the delivery of, and contribute to the content of appropriate training and development programmes, working closely with colleagues in the Talent & Development team.
• Building the capability of the leadership teams to handle situations rather than manage issues for them.
• Fully engaging with and utilising human resources processes for own development, team development, career planning and performance management.
• Supporting the MENA region in applying and conforming to Mace group policies.
• Working on HR projects in all business areas, as required and directed by the group human resources director and HR business plan.

Requirements

Your experience, knowledge and skills need to include:

• Deep understanding of a business, its strategy & plans and how to translate the people agenda into the language and context that can be understood by key stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to work with stakeholders ‘where they are’ rather than where we would like them to be.
• Good understanding of Employment Law in countries across the GCC is an advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills which are utilised to influence stakeholders
• Ability to build resourcing plans and retention strategies.
• Leadership and management experience.
• Understanding on how organisation development sits within wider HR practice.
• IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Oracle.
• The ability to understand and apply the strategic context for the people agenda.
• Effective delivery of talent, succession and resource management plans.
• Leading and managing change and able to deal effectively with personal change.
• Ability to prioritise and deliver at pace.
• Budget and financial management.
• Coaching and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or Post Grad Qualification in a relevant HR subject or discipline is preferred.
• Professional Memberships are an advantage but are not essential.
• Full membership of CIPD would be an advantage.
