Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client a leading international engineering consultancy requires an MEP BIM Manager to work on a flagship transportation project in Dubai.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Provide updates to weekly and monthly BIM reports
• Monitor and coordinate the development of post-contract BIM Execution Plan
• Plan, manage and record BIM guided tours, BEP workshops, discipline specific workshops coordination and progress meetings
• Manage the BIM process to ensure that the highest quality of deliverables are submitted
• Manage and ensure project BIM’s are delivered as per agreed deliverable register, dates and CDE protocol
• Perform QA/QC for WIP and milestone BIM package submissions in accordance with Project standards
• Monitor, review and report BIM compliance against the agreed Model Production Delivery Table, Level of Detail and Asset Information Model requirements
• Monitor and report on the development of an acceptable interference free / coordinated BIMs
• Prepare own discipline model and/or content for internal BIM review/coordination meetings.
• Collaborate and coordinate with Project delivery team design-changes and model challenges.
• Provide hands-on BIM software training
• Perform reviews and support the Project delivery team to improve the quality of BIM/Design outputs
• Validate and export BIM data to design schedule’s
• Prepare validation reports for submissions highlighting Project BIM delivery, structure, geometry, COBie data, design clashes and 2D output accuracy.
• Monitor and ensure accuracy of 4D BIM Construction sequence / progress reporting through 4D comparisons
• Monitor the development of BIM for H&S and ensure this is being utilized effectively
• Monitor and report on the utilization of Field BIM applications during Construction activities
• Audit site installation to ensure compliance against coordinated BIMs
• Monitor the integration process and validate Testing and Commissioning data into BIMs
• Audit and validate accuracy of project As-built BIMs
• Manage and ensure AIM is electronically tagged with the H&S files and O&M manuals on CDE
• Manage the integration process of AIM with Employers Asset Management System
• Manage training for maintenance teams to integrate AIM

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Design or Construction from an Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering discipline background
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in BIM Implementation on major projects
• Experience in either Rail or Transportation Projects
• Experience with British BIM Standards PAS1192 and BS1192
• Proficient in a range of BIM software applications such as: Revit, Civil 3D,
• Bentley Rail Track, Navisworks, VICO Cost, Synchro, BIM 360 Field or similar applications
• Previous Middle East experience preferred but not essential
