MEP BIM Modeler

Job description / Role

Our Tier 1 MEP Contracting client has a new requirement for a number of experienced MEP BIM Modelers to join their team in Dubai at prestigious new project in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background as MEP BIM Modeler on major 5* Hospitality and High Rise projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of BIM Modeler for a Main Contracting company.

This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6 Month Contract as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create BIM Model (MEP & HVAC model) up to LOD 450 and do clash detection for coordination.
• Prepare MEP Building Services Layouts.
• Coordinates with the Engineer in preparation of design drawings and details for construction.
• Check drawings for discrepancies and errors and do corrections necessary for the project.
• Provides spot detail / Shop drawings for the clarity of the plans and details.
• Responsible for MEP drawing coordination with Architectural
• Create Architectural and structural 3D Model based on 2D drawings and do clash detection for coordination.
• Coordinates with the Architect ( architectural model input ) in preparation of design drawings and details for construction.
• Create render views and walkthrough videos out of the created models
• Able to use engineering sizing tools for pipes , ducts , cables , etc
• Making Site visit for the measurement of the Area, for as-built purposes.
• Extract BOQs & schedules for all MEP components such as Pipes , cable trays , cables , ducts , valves , duct accessories

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical
• At least 4 years’ relevant BIM modelling / drawing
• Ability to work using modeling software’s such as ( Revit , AutoCAD , Plant 3D )
• Ability to use clash detection software’s such as Navisworks
• Have strong engineering background in both mechanical and electrical field
• Project Experience in GCC countries
• BIM fundamentals, principles & workflows
