MEP Draftsman (Plumbing And Fire Life Safety Systems)

Job description / Role

COENGR – Consulting Engineering Group is urgently looking for a skilled MEP Draftsman specializing in Plumbing and Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate drawings, coordination layouts, and authority submission documentation in compliance with UAE standards, NFPA codes, and mall-specific guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and develop MEP layouts for plumbing and fire protection systems as per UAE and international standards.
• Prepare shop drawings, detailed sections, and coordination drawings using AutoCAD (Revit knowledge is an advantage).
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to ensure clash-free designs.
• Revise and update drawings based on client, consultant, and authority comments.
• Assist project engineers in material submittals and documentation.
• Ensure all drawings comply with UAE Civil Defense and mall fit-out requirements.

• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting.
• 1–2 years of UAE experience as an MEP Draftsman, with focus on Plumbing and FLS systems.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, UAE Civil Defense codes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit is a plus).
• Attention to detail and ability to produce neat, accurate, and authority-compliant drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
