MEP Engineer

Job description / Role

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / electrical engineering with 5 years or Diploma with 10 years local construction experience in Substation or power projects (DEWA approved Engineer preferred)

• Aware of DEWA MEP/FPS Specifications.
• Aware of DEWA substation design.
• Understands and ensures the designer incorporates the key requirements of the Design Basis Report at the site.
• Ensure the Coordination between all the services implemented at the site (Electrical, MEP, FPS, Civil).
• Coordinate and participate in joint kickoff meeting with DEWA site engineer/Consultant (if applicable) and its subcontractor MEP key personnel prior to execution of site works.
• Prepare, site daily activity plan, and regularly send two-week look ahead, monthly progress reports to DEWA Site engineer/Consultant engineer without fail.
• Review the completion of the work at site before issuing RFI’s and notifying DEWA site Engineer/Consultant engineer for witness.
• Ensure Safe and proper storage of all material/equipment related to MEP at site, until it is ready for installation.
• Ensures availability of supporting documents, approved material, RFC and builder’s drawings (Electrical, MEP, and Civil), ITP and method statements at DEWA site office prior to execution of MEP scope and civil works that needs MEP clearances.
• Prepare and submit at site all MEP method statements, prior to execution of works, to DEWA/Consultant engineer for review and approval.
• Maintains log sheet of document / RFC drawings transmitted or received by DEWA/Consultant engineer at site.
• Understand and fully adheres DEWA’s HSE policy and site supervision protocols at all levels.

Salary:
AED 12,000 to 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
