MEP Procurement Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented MEP Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team in the UAE. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing procurement to support our construction projects by ensuring timely acquisition of high-quality materials and services. Your contribution will be vital in optimizing costs and maintaining project schedules while upholding our commitment to excellence in construction.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for MEP materials and services that align with project requirements.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and establish contracts to ensure the best value for the company.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to understand project specifications and timelines, ensuring alignment in procurement activities.
- Review and analyze supplier proposals and quotations, providing recommendations based on quality, price, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, tracking order status and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new products that can benefit the projects.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve issues regarding delivery, quality, or service performance as needed.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer, preferably within the MEP sector of the construction industry.
- Strong negotiating skills and the ability to build fruitful relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Excellent understanding of procurement processes and market dynamics related to MEP materials and services.
- Proficient in relevant software applications and tools for procurement management and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary:
AED 5,000 to 10,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
