MEP Technician

Job description / Role

We are seeking a skilled MEP Technician with strong knowledge and hands-on experience in plumbing and general MEP works, particularly within Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) and irrigation networks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of the STP facility and the irrigation network across the Al Barari community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine patrols of the Al Barari irrigation network for leaks, damages, and anomalies.
• Inspect and monitor STP plant equipment such as pumps, flowmeters, valves, and meters.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of villa water meters showing abnormal readings or consumption.
• Rectify issues such as broken pipes and damaged meters.
• Conduct volumetric testing to identify discrepancies in water usage.
• Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in pump rooms (MIPS, SPS).
• Complete daily log sheets and perform scheduled readings.
• Report directly to the Operations Supervisor.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in MEP works, especially within water treatment or STP facilities.
• Solid understanding of MEP systems, particularly plumbing within treatment plants and irrigation networks.
• Ability to identify and solve technical problems with minimal supervision.
• Familiar with basic tools, instruments, and piping layouts.
• Willingness to work in rotating shifts.
• Basic English communication skills (spoken and written).
