What we are looking for: Merchandise Manager

We are a small but mighty team that spans the spectrum of competencies, propensities, and personalities. One thing we all have in common, however, is passion. As savvy consumers, we're dedicated to changing the face of retail for everyone involved. And as self-proclaimed technophiles, we're just as passionate about bringing amazing new products to the people.

We are focused on user experience both for our visitors and our product makers. Thus, we are looking for a supervisor who has an unrelenting desire to make sure every visitor has a seamless and satisfying experience with products, our displays, and staff.

What you will do:

- Work closely with store GM to maintain product merchandising strategy
- Manage & maintain inventory of all products in store on daily basis, including but not limited to scheduled inventory counts, RTV, and other inventory activities.
- Ensure training and product knowledge standards for retail associates are met, including product knowledge & ability to provide superior demo of products to guests
- Maintaining operational excellence within store environment, leading by example & consistently offering feedback to team members
- Assist in planning and execution of events and in-store promotions
- Ensure the highest level of customer service to ensure that guests are consistently provided with the b8ta experience
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the store
- You will work in and create solid relationships with HQ and Chalhoub Group


What you'll need to succeed in this role:

You will demonstrate great leadership skills and a consultative approach towards the business. Your ability to engage and communicate with a diverse range of people will ensure your success with us! More specifically, we would love to hear from you if you can say yes to the below

- 1+ years' experience leading teams in a retail environment
- Previous experience in product merchandising and events marketing is preferred
- Previous experience in a retail technology, hardware, or IoT environment a plus
- Strong enough to lift and carry up to 20kg
- Ability to maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom
- Confident to communicate with customers and team members
- Ability to maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom
- Completely flexible to the schedule to meet the needs of the business
- Previous experience of working in a similar field; with strong knowledge of retail in the region
- Have a high level of emotional intelligence
- Have a people-oriented attitude with experience in engaging in people development
- A passion for people
