Job description / Role
• Propose the best suitable range for overall sourcing, buying and merchandising for selected category and insure the implementation at store level - Heavy House Hold
• To select the assortment of the section, range and manage price positioning and policy
• Prepare periodical reports, analyse the efficiency of the planning and propose areas for improvement
• Develops a clear road map to achieve strategic objectives and actively supports teams to ensure delivery.
• To set the annual agreement and contracts of the section with all suppliers to achieve profit target
• To effectively anticipate customer needs through deep understanding of customers’ expectations
• To manage, select and validate promotions with suppliers, marketing department and execution follow up with stores
• Provide supplier performance analysis to help categorize the negotiations from one year to another
• Role-models the “one company” mindset by proactively contributing for the benefit of Majid Al Futtaim as a whole
Requirements
• Bachelor degree Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or equivalent
• Good communication skills
• Computer proficiency: MS Office
• Negotiation skills, and category management knowledge required
