Merchandising Supervisor

Job description / Role

JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE: To train, develop and manage the merchandising team to ensure the execution of 4P objectives. Work closely with the key account executive in the market.

Description:
• Make available an updated list of all outlets to be visited by the Merchandising Team, the names of the Merchandisers visiting these outlets and their call cycles
• Monitoring of JP adherence of the merchandisers
• To forecast and submit regional channel POSM requirements to the Trade Marketing department for generic and also for Thematic events
• Tracking of Company assets in the trade.
• To ensure implementation of merchandising guidelines and 4P implementation by having daily market visits
• Competitor Activity Reporting
• Customer/Consumer related quality issues reporting
• Ensure timely incentivizing of the Merchandisers
• Recruitment Training and development
• To discuss, merchandising, sales promotion, administration, and people issues. To update the team on the implementation of the 4Ps and POSM implementation and to discuss the month’s initiatives through monthly meetings. Update the Sales Operation Manager on the KPIs achievement. Communicate MOM to Sales Operation Manager and Key Account Executives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
• 2 years of supervisory experience or 5 years of senior sales executive
• Experience in handling major key account customers and having worked for major FMCG principals or distributors

• Good knowledge of products and services of the company
• Good understanding of financial measures related to sales
• Good Selling Skills
• Good understanding of FMCG merchandising guidelines
• Good Trainer
• Working knowledge of production and supply chain processes
