Microsoft Dynamics AX Developer

Job description / Role

Objectives:
The Microsoft Dynamics AX Developer/ERP Technical specialist will be responsible for development of enhancements, customizations, forms, reports and interfaces within and related to MS Dynamics AX ERP system. Interpret functional and business requirements and develop necessary technical design documents and deliverables following implementation best practices. Also work as an integral part of the IT team in close collaboration with the functional teams to produce the best possible solutions to support company’s business objectives.

Reporting to: IT Manager

Main responsibilities:
• Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, configurations, customization and integration with other Applications.
• Implement AX modules in various departments.
• Developing the reports as per the requirements from the functional user using SQL reporting tools or Power BI tool.
• Ensure implementation and development decisions are aligned with best practices and future view of the IT landscape.
• Mange AX DB, backup archive and performance tuning.
• Escalate application issues to Vendor.
• Provide technical guidance and industry best practices to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree holder in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline.
• 8 Years’ experience in the Development and implementation of software systems. Out of that Min 4 years’ experience in MS AX environment, development, installation, configuration, and working with the Functional / consulting team.
• Experience of X++, SQL, SQL Reporting Services, SSRS, .Net is must.
• Has a good knowledge about SQL Server administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills (including SSRS,
• SSAS, and SSIS).
• Has a deep understanding of functional flows with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
• Should have experience in System integration with third-party applications.
• Experience of Power BI is a plus.
• Experience of Enterprise Portal is a plus.

Skills Required:
• Development and Customizing of Reports and Forms for Microsoft Dynamics.
• Proficient in X++, SSRS, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Visual Studio, and XML.
• Good System Integration skills.
• Preparation of technical documents.
• Very good verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible and hard worker.
