Additional school requirements

- Must have completed a supervised practicum while earning education qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a Canadian curriculum private school or international school setting.
- Strong knowledge and experience in student-centered learning, standards-based grading, and reporting principles.
- Developing critical thinking skills in students and fostering an inquiry-based learning environment.
- Proficient in the use of technology in the classroom.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about teaching and committed to providing high-quality education to students.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in working with English Language Learners is preferable.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons that align with the Alberta Education curriculum for English Language Arts, using student-centered teaching practices that support the development of language acquisition.
- Prepare English Language Learners for success by closing learning gaps.
- Implement standards-based grading and reporting principles to provide accurate and meaningful feedback to students and parents.
