Job description / Role
Middle East Marketing Manager for a Professional Services Multinational, Dubai
The Marketing Manager runs Middle East marketing operations smoothly relating to Global marketing, entrenched in the media and business community, and able to productively work with business partners with different styles, priorities, and different opinions on how the Marketing Department should operate. This person should be able to interpret the company objectives and to translate them into solid and concrete proposals and also to calibrate expectations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop, implement and monitor execution of a comprehensive and integrated Middle East marketing strategy that supports business/commercial objectives across key marketing pillars/channels: networking, media, events, alumni, direct & web.
• Monitor company brand performance and steer marketing efforts toward building a brand that supports the business/commercial agenda.
• Lead internal communication within the system to align and execute the marketing agenda
• Develop and mentor marketing team of 3 (2 coordinators and 1 assistant).
• Coordinate and support development of local office marketing plans, working with local teams.
• Develop, manage and oversee the Middle East marketing budget.
• Coordinate and collaborate with Global Marketing and other regional marketing teams, clients, alumni.
• Participate in special projects or perform other duties as requested.
Marketing Pillars:
• Networking: connections with Industry/Public/Private Associations
• Media: relations with PR agency, journalists
• Events: management of client events and some major internal events
• Alumni: connections with alumni
• Direct & Web: management of direct mailing and website
Relationship management:
• Strong connections with key media leaders/ PR agency
• Strong interpersonal and teaming skills with experience managing a team
• Strong negotiations skills
• Ability to build trust and work collaboratively with all key stakeholders, Partners, local office key contacts, alumni and regional marketing teams
Requirements
• Educated to bachelor level essential
• Min 5 years of B2B Marketing experience or as a consultant/senior
• Previous management consulting experience is advantageous
• Must be able to perform successfully in a fast paced, intellectually intense, service oriented environment.
• Good analytical skills
• Excellent written and spoken English, Arabic is an advantage
• Excellent IT, communication and project management skills
