Job Description
• Design and development of satellite operations system
• Work with satellite engineers to design, create, test, and execute satellite operations procedures, including commissioning procedures and nominal operations procedures
• Investigate in-orbit anomalies and support generating anomaly isolation and recovery strategies
• Work with the ground software team as the user and requirements owner to identify tools that will help us operate satellites
• Run commanding activities during the launch and commissioning of the satellites.
• Contribute to operational documentation (Flight Operational Handbook, Mission Operations Plan, Commissioning and Decommissioning Plans, etc)
• Prepare for payload operations support (CONOPS, Payload procedures, Commissioning procedures, etc)
• Identify and carry out training for students in flight operations

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
• BS/MS or higher-level degree in engineering or applied sciences

Preferred Qualification
• Spacecraft System Engineering/Electronic and/or Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering/Software Engineering/ Communication Engineering.
• Mission Operations Experience

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience
• Desired system level understanding of spacecraft subsystem design
• Excellent verbal communications and presentations skills
• Excellent writing skills with a proven ability to generate high quality technical documentation
• Excellent organizational, management and team working skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint
