Mobility Principal Architect

Job description / Role

We are currently recruiting Mobility Principal Architect on behalf of a leading international brand who are looking for talented, industry leading professionals to join their business at head office in Dubai UAE. This is an excellent opportunity to join a prestigious organisation on an initial 12 month contract basis with the strong potential for renewal.

Requirements

Applications are sought from those with the following experience;
• Technical leadership qualities required (not to be confused with being a line manager/man management skills).
• Someone with vision, capable of driving direction - influencing and persuading others
• Breaking through barriers and overcoming objections internally
• Creating consensus / dealing with strong minded people and asserting oneself if crucial
• Someone who knows the mobile space well, IOS, Swift, Android etc.
• Either an expert in either IOS/Android with strong understanding of the others
• Some back-end experience required
• Swift experience (preference to those who have overseen the upgrade from v2-v3
• Objective C experience
• Some Java and/or web technology experience a plus
• Agile practices - CD, automated testing (knowing how to work well with testing teams)
• Needs to be capable and comfortable being hands on when required
• A seasoned Principle Architect with the right mentality or could be a developer who has architecture experience (the developer should not be more than about 40% hands on from a coding perspective).
• A total of 10 – 15 years of experience which will include the last 5 years working at Architect level in a large enterprise
• A Bachelors Degree in Computer/Information Sciences
