Job Description

Experience Level: - 5 to 7 years of Experience
The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. This is a "hands-on" position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and sustainment of the SQL Server Warehouse, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, and performing data modelling in support of multiple development teams. The data warehouse supports an enterprise application suite of program management tools. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Skills & Requirements :-

- Optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost
- Develops, implements and tests database backup and recovery policies and procedures
- Deployment of SSIS packages
- Write Unix shell scripts to automate DBA tasks
- Perform Production On call support on rotational basis
- Monitor database performance to ensure integrity of data and provide tuning of the database for optimal performance
- Identify need for hardware / software upgrades or replacements
- Administrative control of all databases, to include backup/recovery maintenance using integrated maintenance functions and secondary backup software
- Administrative control of all code on development and production, to include backup/recovery using integrated maintenance functions and secondary backup software
- Conduct Quality Assurance of content to ensure website NIPR requirements
- Mobile development experience is a plus.

Eligibility & Education :-

- Deep understanding of SQL Server monitoring technologies, such as Idera
- MSFT Clustering, HA, DR, Mirroring and other resiliency technologies
- Experience with SQL Server
- Undergraduate degree and 5+ years, or Graduate degree and 2+ years of experience in administering SQL Server Database Systems in a production environment
- Knowledge of SSIS, SSMS, and SSRS
- Knowledge of Oracle, DB2 Mainframe, DB2 LUW, or Teradata DBMS
