MWD Technician

Job description / Role

JOB DESCRIPTION

The technician shall perform the following responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Diligently maintain downhole and surface MWD/LWD tools to the highest possible standards.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining post job database for all MWD operations in the rig site
- Ensure assembly, disassembly and parts inspection are consistent with MWD maintenance manuals.
- Conducts failure analysis when required; follows up on root causes of failures with line management and manufacturer
- Responsible for ordering of parts and setting minimum M&S stock levels
- Maintain clean and organized work area and attend to miscellaneous shop duties
- Record all maintenance transactions on CMMS
- To carry out other duties as may be directed by MWD / LWD Supervisor.

Age Requirement: 25-45 years old

Minimum Education: Secondary / Diploma

Years of Experience: Minimum 4 years work related experience

Certifications / Licenses: -

SKILLS AND COMPETENCY

Qualified candidates should possess the following skills and competencies:
- Must be proficient in the English language
- Must have Computer and Soft Skills
- Possess excellent Electronics / Electric Knowledge
- Good experience and knowledge in Troubleshooting
- Must have a planning, leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
