Overview
Working in a fast-paced, innovative environment, you are responsible for managing a team of outside sales representatives. You are responsible for developing and managing the team to generate revenue and achieve individual team and organizational quotas. Teach, coach, and mentor successful sales professionals to develop in their careers. Recruit, train, and coach the team in both sales strategy and product knowledge. Monitor demand generation and sales activity and track the results. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the business applications.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- You have at least 3 years of closing experience and/or sales management experience within SaaS/technology sales and a desire to succeed.
- A strong understanding of accounting solutions, business solutions, e-commerce, ERP, or CRM in a sales capacity is essential, as well as the ability to negotiate pricing and contractual terms to close a sale.
- You have strong leadership capabilities and experience in sales coaching and mentoring.
- You enjoy learning technology and can translate that into value for prospects.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of outside sales representatives for a territory/region.
- Participate as a team member in strategic and tactical planning for the division.
- Develop working relationships with license, consulting, education, and/or support field managers to develop joint account plans.
- Develop and execute strategic plans utilizing resources from various marketing and sales functions to maximize revenue with frequent guidance from the area manager or director.
- Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff.
- Participate in the recruiting process and provide hiring recommendations to senior management.
- Handle escalations and participate directly in complex sales situations to negotiate and/or resolve disputes and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct sales forecasts, territory planning, demand generation, deal strategy development, and trend analysis.
