Network Administrator

Job description / Role

IT Network Administrator required by prestigious client to support operations across the business for all infrastructure, troubleshooting, network issues and problems. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining Server Infrastructure while ensuring that the organization's systems are available as required.

Salary:
AED 10,000 to 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Responsibilities

• Provide first level and second level Network support.
• Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
• Establishes Network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, good put, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
• Maintains overall Network performance by performance monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
• Secures Network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
• Upgrades/ renew all Network and software needs by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
• Conduct feasibility studies and meet with vendors to assess the best products for the infrastructure
• Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
• Perform performance tests and ensure the architecture is designed for complete fail over
• Perform on-going performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required

Desired Skills and Experience

Required to have knowledge of:

• 5 years+ experience in network administration or a related field
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Server Platforms ranging from 2008, 2012 and 2012-R2. Furthermore, in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Licensing Techniques in virtual and Physical Environments
• An all-encompassing familiarity of Cisco Firewalls and Networking ranging from ASA 5512-x/5510 and CAT 3560/2960 in standalone and clustered/ stacked setup
• Proven record of implementing and supporting VMware Virtualization among an environment with iSCSI storage covering all aspects of Managed and Unmanaged Co-location Datacentre
• Experienced in laptop and desktop builds and support
• Experienced in managing Juniper Firewalls and VEEAM replication
• ITIL certified
• Record of meeting targets and deadlines
• Worked in teams
• Excellent English both verbal and written
