Network And Telecom Engineer - Outsourced based in Abu Dhabi

We are hiring a Network and Telecom Engineer for one of our clients in Abu Dhabi. This is an outsourced role through a third party, requiring an experienced professional to design, implement, and maintain corporate data network and telecommunication systems. The selected candidate will ensure the performance, security, and reliability of the network and telecom infrastructure, providing expert technical support and project leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, design, test, deploy, and optimize network and telecom systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, IP phones, PBX, video conferencing, webinars, instant messaging, and file sharing.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and primary point of contact for network and telecom-related issues, providing timely and effective support to users.
• Manage Cisco networking solutions (routing & switching) and Cisco Voice, telephony, and collaboration solutions, including third-party integrations for billing and recording.
• Work with vendors and IT teams to coordinate and implement network and telecom projects aligned with business needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and telecom issues affecting business communication and collaboration tools.
• Research and evaluate new network and telecom technologies, making recommendations based on feasibility, cost-benefit analysis, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain network and telecom documentation, policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Implement best security practices to maintain and enhance network security posture.
• Follow ITIL standards and ensure proper system maintenance, due diligence, and due care.
• Utilize network monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and PRTG for performance optimization.

To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Relevant experience as a Network Engineer specializing in IP Telephony implementations and support.
• Infrastructure certifications in Cisco Systems Solutions (CCNP or equivalent preferred).

Experience & Technical Skills:
• 5-8 years of experience in data and voice communication engineering in complex environments.
• Strong expertise in network and telecom protocols, including IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, SIP, and RTP.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, Session Border Controllers, Billing, and Recording Software.
• Experience with network and telecom monitoring tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and PRTG.
• Familiarity with administration tools such as Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Zoom Admin Portal, and Webex Control Hub.
