Job description / Role
• Oversee and maintain telecommunications infrastructure and its related software, including call management systems, VoIP, video conferencing, voice mail, and other telephony and network applications.
• Develops monitoring solutions to alert teams on issues and ensure we maximize uptime
• Support a corporate voice infrastructure using all of the following Cisco technologies: Call Manager, Unity, Voice Gateway, LAN routing & switching, wireless, and QoS
• Provide highly skilled direct network-related technical support to in-house IT, administrative and scientific staff plus a constant stream of visitors.
• Configure and deploy Arista and Brocade network switches
• Primary support of the Aruba Wireless Network including deployment of new access point, configure and upgrade wireless controller and work with Tech Support to troubleshoot end-user issues.
• Maintain network cabling infrastructure and function as main point of contact for cabling contractors
• Work closely with the software development teams to ensure the network provides applications the performance they require.
• Work closely with the UNIX/Storage and Desktop services teams to ensure they have the necessary network service
• Maintaining, deploying and troubleshooting Cisco telecommunications systems
Perform additional responsibilities that may be added from time to time depending on organisational requirements
Requirements
• Min Bachelor of IT with 7 Years working experience
• Professional Certificate: CCIE Voice
Technical/Work Related Skills
• Thorough Knowledge of CUCM (Voice and Video).
• Written and verbal communication
