Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are currently recruiting to expand our Network Operations Center (NOC) in Dubai.

- Support sales and marketing staff on a daily basis
- Perform network testing and analysis of results in the VOIP environment.
- Analyze results to isolate and determine type of service problem
- Assist clients and technicians with restoration of service for voice and/or data service
- Manage and coordinate work efforts by interfacing with several work groups
- Escalate service issues when necessary
- Interface with customers to keep them informed of status of service
- Assign orders and verify that designs are technically correct
- Use a SAAS application to record and manage trouble tickets
- Maintain records on routing and trunking charges
- Interpret technical documents, manuals, circuit descriptions and schematic drawings
- Schedule/perform software back-up and update procedures
- Work with other groups to secure network inventory and make assignments when necessary

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience working in a technical environment and will hold certifications (CISCO preferred) in network element equipment. Our NOC is working towards being a 24 x 7 operation, therefore recruits should expect to be assigned to shift work.

The candidate is expected to work on all aspects of maintaining a live voice, data and VAS network with a global footprint. Proficiency in spoken and written English is a must. Ability to speak a second language will be viewed favorably.

Must be able to work in a team environment, be able to work independently, have the skill set to go above and beyond the basic requirement of the job and understand that the candidate is supporting a global Sales and Marketing team. From time to time, the candidate could be put on a project and be required to address escalations for those projects outside of work hours. Proficiency in Office Suite is a must, especially Excel.
