Network Planning Manager - Electricity

A leading utilities organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Network Planning Manager – Electricity to lead the strategic planning, development, and optimization of the electricity distribution network. This is a senior technical role responsible for ensuring reliability, capacity growth, and long-term infrastructure planning in line with national energy objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term electricity network planning strategies.
• Conduct load forecasting, capacity analysis, and demand growth modelling.
• Lead network expansion projects, reinforcements, and system upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory standards, safety, and technical codes.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, asset management, and capital planning teams.
• Prepare technical reports, investment justifications, and planning recommendations to senior management.

To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electricity network planning or power distribution.
• Strong expertise in load flow studies, network modelling tools, and utility planning systems.
• Experience within large utilities, infrastructure, or energy sector organizations in the GCC is highly desirable.
