Job description / Role
Our client in the UAE is looking for NOC Engineers/Analysts Tier III. You will have the chance to implement your own ideas, work with the best minds in the industry and use top-notch technology. Anticipated start date is between 3-6 months, depending on security clearance.
Among others, you would be responsible for the following tasks and activities:
• Provide escalation support for Tier 1 and 2
• Performing proactive monitoring identifying and remediating potential production issues
• Undertake configuration management work in accordance with the Change Management procedures
• Perform Quality Assurance reviewing proposed data changes, assess risk, provide mitigation and provide technical sign off
• Undertake break fix activities joining high profile bridges and investigating root cause. Where appropriate develop mitigation plans. This will include working with Tier Engineering, System Integrators, and Vendors
• Provide hardware diagnostic and support assistance as requested by other groups, perform root cause analysis determining the cause of a problem and recommending and implementing solutions
• Ensure that all problems are resolved either in a timely manner or ensure that they are escalated to the appropriate Tier-3 management structure
• Provide operational support to deploy and Implementation teams ensuring seamless operational handover
• Ensure that all documentation is kept up to date and is accessible by the rest of the team and provide support and consultancy using appropriate diagnostic tools to all areas
• Participate as part of the Global Data Network Tier 3 operations support team
• Proactively monitor/analyze current device health and traffic patterns at the Internet edge (including routers/switches/firewalls/load balancers, security appliances) thus identifying recurring or potential impacting issues in the environment
• Review critical application behaviors on the perimeter network devices and identify anomalies
• Handle day to day reactive incident and problem management for high impacting and critical issues related to perimeter devices
• Interact with vendors on various issues
• Proactive support, including identifying and remediating recurring or potential client-impacting issues
Requirements
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in information technology with a focus on data networking
• Technical leadership experience
• Experience with data Network Security & Services. Examples include Firewalls, Proxy,etc.
• Proven experience managing various large-scale enterprise network topologies including LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Transport. Examples include Routers (Cisco – ASR/GSR/Nexus/Juniper)
• Background in Packet Capture tools and analysis
• Experience managing large-scale enterprise network topologies
• Cisco CCNP up to CCIE level certification or equivalent experience is required
• ITIL Certified
