Ruskin Education is now recruiting for a new premium brand nursery to open in Abu Dhabi in September 2016. The nursery offers a unique concept based around the British EYFS programme but with a strong emphasis on STEAM with the nursery concept, environment and play spaces being developed to a high specification to engage children in exploring science, designing and constructing their ideas and investigating and learning through play. The nursery will offer a strong enrichment programme making use of local facilities for swimming, outdoor and adventurous play, and through exploring sound and light with technology. Job Scope:
- Leading teaching and provison for a core group of children including managing the various resources and providing positive and efficient learning opportunities for all children irrespective of their background and starting point.
- Provide a leadership and support role to a teaching team to ensure a consistent quality of provision across the team.
- Maintain excellent relationships with children, parents and carers in supporting the development of confident, discerning and motivated children able to show real curiosity in learning and exploring their enquiring minds.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and evaluate lessons, activities and learning and teaching strategies through the maintenance of a professional teaching plans
- Build the enrichment programmes and implement the concept and strategy for securing enquiring minds through well-planned and organized activities
- Provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment in which consideration is given to the individual development of all children
- Differentiate learning and teaching and associated resources in a manner that challenges and interest’s students and is appropriate to the needs and skill levels of students
- Lead a team of educators to ensure high quality provision and learning outcomes
- Create and maintain a classroom environment that reflects the variety and quality of children’s work and stimulates learning
- Utilize positive and supportive behavior management strategies that are conducive to effective learning and teaching
- Carry out a range of formative assessments of children’s attainments to acknowledge and inform progress.
- Contribute towards the nursery enrichment programmed its growth and success.

Requirements

- Masters/Bachelor degree or equivalent Early Years qualification
- Qualified teacher status or equivalent Early Years qualification

Must have skills:
- Excellent knowledge of how young children learn
- Exceptional relationships and communication skills
- Good people management skills
- The ability to enthuse and generate trust

Experience:
- At least 5 years experience in working in successful early years settings and EYFS curriculum
- Experience and interest in early reading, science and technology would be an advantage
- Competencies Well organized
- Good problem solving skills
- Flexibility and creative thinking
- Excellent range of teaching pedagogies

Additional Requirements
- Has experience in early education in an international context would be an advantage
- Experience and qualifications in STEM as applied to early learning would be an advantage
- Additional languages would be an advantage

Salary & Benefits: 8,000-14,000 AED per month + benefits depending on qualifications and experience

Contract: 2 year contract with the option for renewal
