Dragon Recruiting has a fantastic opportunity for (position) to work with one of the prestigious healthcare organization in UAE. Dragon Recruiting is an International Recruitment and HR Consultants with two corporate offices in London and Dubai and over 50 representative offices across 8 regions of the world.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
• This position is responsible for evaluating patients referred to occupational therapy, organizing and implementing individualized therapeutic programs with patients and families and observing and recording patient progress and response to treatment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs an evaluation on each patient to determine appropriate problems to be addressed
• Reviews patient chart for pertinent medical history, including test results and x-ray reports
• Analyzes and interprets patient’s needs, based on medical history, x-rays, tests, and evaluation
• Establishes treatment goals and formulates a treatment plan based on the patient evaluation
• Administers treatment program and uses skilled techniques to provide treatment
• Monitors patient’s medical status reviews and revises treatment plans as necessary as treatment plan progresses
• Directs and supervises the activities of support personnel and maintains responsibility for all aspects of patient care
• Educates patients and their families about the patient’s functional status, appropriate preventative and therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment and modalities for post-discharge care
• Documents required and pertinent information in patient’s medical record
• Reviews and co-signs progress notes written by occupational therapy assistants
• Participates in the multi-disciplinary management of patients, ensures coordination of treatment goals and discharge planning
• Completes required department forms accurately and in a timely manner
• Participates in the supervision of students assigned to clinical rotation and/or staff development programs

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate experience as an Occupational Therapist in relevant experience with patients with the same diagnosis seen in acute care hospitals or rehabilitation facilities is required

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to speak and write in English is required - Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred

Requirements

• DHA/ HAAD - Knowledge of principles, methods and procedures for diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of physical dysfunctions
