Job description / Role
A global media organisation that reaches millions of people via digital platforms, print, exciting events and social media influencers requires a fully involved Office Manager for their Dubai location. This is an exceptionally fast paced environment and therefore the Office Manager is involved in the complete operations of the front of house, service and maintenance teams and reports into the regional Director.
Management of a team of 10-15 employees including Receptionists, Drivers, Mailroom Assistants, Security Guards, Domestic Support Staff and internal Caterers, the Office Manager should be a hands-on organiser to ensure daily efficiencies and event support is fully coordinated. Developing a motivated and customer centric team you will maintain the highest of standards from the moment a visitor enters the office, attends an internal meeting or is involved in an upcoming event. Regular customers include well know influencers and celebrities and therefore the role requires those who are confident and unflappable, even when in contact directly with VVIPs and celebrities with very exacting requirements.
Event management is also a large part of the overall responsibilities and this will include organising social events, celebrations, media conferences and office refurbishment projects. It is the Office Manager who will negotiate directly with suppliers and 3rd parties to ensure value for money and a reliable and consistently high standard of service. It is essential that the office reflects the brands’ reputation via high standards of both the environment and all health and safety protocols. Therefore, the successful individual will be the first point of contact for governmental authorities such as Freezone Management, Civil Defense inspections and the overall internal emergency scenario procedures.
Desirable attributes for this role include a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory position as an Office Manager or Events Manager and knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocol. You should possess a confident and dedicated attitude and a high standard of motivation and organisational skills, alongside excellent command of the English language.
