Officer - Design

Design & development translates strategies into experiences plans & projects.

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for delivering airport design experience improvement and innovation through customer design solutions for Dubai Airports, ensuring that Dubai Airports future vision and plans have service proposition and design innovation solutions that will elevate its market position and work positively towards a world leader for airport customer experience and innovation.

You will embed a culture for a design that puts the customer at the centre of the design process with, a focus on both the functional and emotional needs and engagement of the customer.

You will work with the operational design team and Research and Customer Service Delivery, using insights from a data driven approach to ensure that customer experience concepts are designed, embedded and successfully delivered.

Requirements

Qualification

- You should have a bachelor's degree in architecture/civil engineer.

Experience/ Knowledge

- You should have at least 5 years' experience in a relevant role in an airport design / operational environment and proven track record in delivering projects/programmes in a commercial environment.
- Production of visually rich clear documentation, visuals, report writing
- Understanding of customer experience and service design, including key methodologies, concepts and its application to large organizations.
- Understanding key methodologies for service improvement innovation and improvement
- Experience in managing research output and translating it into actionable insights
- Experience of working well independently as well as with a partnering designer, and have the ability to successfully lead large-scale projects and initiatives involving multiple cross-functional teams
- Must be able to work well in a matrixed environment
- Proven experience translating user and business requirements into the experience design
- Understand how to incorporate both qualitative and quantitative research into their design process and be able to articulate and defend design decisions using customer research as an input and a guide
