Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to provide on-site technical support to clinicians to ensure the proper and effective use of hospital information systems and improve the delivery of patient care and assist users with system navigation, troubleshooting and patient monitoring issues.
Collaborate with leaders across functions and disciplines to plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical systems and services.

Job Responsibilities as mentioned below:

• Supports development of information system requirements.
• Develops process flow charts and reports on project status.
• Ensures clinical needs are evaluated and validated when implementation plans are developed by collecting input from end users
• Participates in the development of Business Case, Request For Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal documents.
• Maintains a detailed understanding and knowledge of the current HIS products, its functions and its relationship with other information systems within the enterprise
• Participates in the analyzing change requests and implementing changes in the hospital information system.
• Participates in the development of Computer Documentation policy and procedure.
• Provides application implementation support and technical guidance to users.
• Provides first line of support and troubleshooting for issues related to Hospital Information systems.
• Test any configuration, customization or update of hospital information systems.
• Prepares Training materials and develop training plans.
• Provides training to the new employees on the use of Hospital Information system.
• Provides training to the hospital clinical users on any update or modification of the system.
• Provide on-demand online training material to enhance users’ utilization of IT systems.
• Participates actively in the quality improvement program of the department/unit.
• Serves as an expert resource for end-users in regard to questions or issues relating to the systems' functionalities
• Maintains current and complete documentation for applications
• Ensures the standardization of business processes all over the hospital
• Conducts customer-oriented training workshops.
• Stay up to date with technological trends related to hospital IT environment. Becomes self-aware of developments in Information Technology fields through various reading relevant journals, attending meetings and relevant courses and knowledge sharing sessions.
• Perform other duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Providing the 1st level support to all the existing applications in SKGH, viz: core HIS, LIS, PACS and various other clinician related applications.
• Providing user trainings for the new joiners especially the doctors and nurses
• Providing periodic reports to requesting departments and prepare the statistical reports from various sources of data as and when needed by the authorities or hospital management.
• SKGH users have continuous requests for new features or change request in the applications, as application specialist you are needed to do feasibility study (requirement analysis) and provide the feedback to user with best possible solutions.
• If change request is approved by management, then raise the change request to vendor and laisse/work with them until the changes are applied.
• Meet with users to understand their needs when new changes are requested.
• Perform and be responsible for the complete User Acceptance testing.
• Troubleshooting the reported issues and liaising and following up with vendors for escalation for immediate resolution.
• Hospital works 24x7 so all the IT team does provide on-call support when needed, mostly this is done remotely without the need to visit the hospital but only for emergency cases where patient care is impacted.
• Be part of the new project team for the implementation of new HIS Cerner across all group hospitals.

Requirements

Educational Qualification Requirements:
• Bachelor in Information Technology from a recognized academic institution

Experience Requirements:
• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field
