Job Purpose:

Provide support to the Senior Manager - Product Controls & Governance and ensure that the Personal Banking Group has robust control, effectively implement and follow up as per the policies and procedures and processes.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Compile and analyze reports as required, which need to be distributed to the branches for their actions based on the internal guidelines and PBG agreement including but not limited to daily Negative Balance summary, daily > 4 Cheque return report, Daily USD TXN Report, and Daily Turnover Breach report.
• Conduct and review activities and spot reviews for critical areas as per direction of the management and participate in implementing the procedure changes from time to time as per guidance from Management.
• Ensure timely placement and removal of restrictions on customer accounts with deficient or incomplete KYC information.
• Review Branch voucher bundles and related follow up Branches for resolution of deviations/discrepancies.
• Ensure that Branches adhere to the requirements as per internal policy and guidelines for defined activities as per management and submit periodic reports to the Senior Manager - Product Controls and Governance.
• Coordination of Cheque book Delivery process and related controls.
• Following up with branches at regular intervals for operational tasks and escalate branch errors on monthly basis
• Monitor vault opening and closing timings and escalate as required
• Monitor change of vault combination and maintain branch vault combination under dual control
• Compile, analyse and follow up on overdraft accounts to regularize them
• Review Account Opening information and supporting documentation to ensure data integrity and adherence to Policies & Procedures. Escalate of any deviations for corrective action.
• Handle Banca callback and verification requests.
• Assist in development and review of RCSA for units assigned.
• Assist in new projects pertaining to various areas within the Personal Banking Group.
• Provide timely and professional administrative and project support to Senior Manager - Product Controls and Governance in assigned areas.
• Provide support to Unit Head and assist in the strategy development of all necessary policies & procedures, reconciliation and quality control standards to achieve the targets of the Department.
• Follows up of pending matters efficiently to ensure the completeness of the department work within deadlines

Education and Experience

• Bachelors Degree in a Finance/Commerce discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in banking and financial services sector
• Good understanding of operational process
