Officer Warehousing

Job description / Role

We are currently seeking an energetic Warehouse Officer to support Administration department in Dubai operations, the applicant will provide leadership, direction and coordination to assigned regional warehouses staff in order to achieve warehouse department performance objectives and to ensure internal customer satisfaction, safe management and delivery of optimal value warehouse practices.

Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Carries out periodic review of regional warehouses procedures & recommends changes/modifications as required.
- Carries out on-going quality & productivity improvement programs between Central Warehouse Divisions & the regional warehouses in order to ensure that quality standards & established process control procedures are implemented effectively in the Regions.
- Monitors cycle count in the respective warehouse are carried out as per guidelines/ policies and discrepancies or adjustments (if any) are investigated/reported/completed for sorting out variances as per devolution of power.
- Monitors the safety & security measures are followed as per standard rules and regulation.
- Coordinates effectively with relevant sections from regional & HO Engineering on stock demands & storage requirements in order to meet all requirements of goods/materials.
- Assists in organizing & coordinating, as per HO-Finance & Accounting instructions the annual Stock check for effective auditing of stock items in accordance with Etisalat's standard operating procedures.
- Ensure that reports of slow moving items, dead inventories, and expired items in regional warehouses are regularly prepared & followed up with concerns.
- Continuously improve the warehouse operation requirement and procedures for better use of technology to reduce manual operations, cost and to increase efficiency.
- Provides professional direction to subordinates evaluates their performance & carries out necessary counseling to ensure acceptable level of performance.
- Coordinate & cooperate with HO- Materials Management, Procurement Department & Central warehouse Divisions in the conduct of studies and process reviews of the Regional Stores operations, procedures & internal controls.
- Performs any other related duties as required.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree or equivalent degree
- 3-4 years in organizing the logistics function, warehousing, distribution, issuance and inventory control of a large & progressive organization.
- Applicants with Experience in large industry will be given an added advantage.
