Employment: Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:
in complete charge of the rig and is responsible for the drilling crews, the equipment and the overall drilling operation. responsible for safety of the rig and provides the direction and leadership required to keep the operation running smoothly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the safety of personnel, rig, working practices and general safety culture on the rig.
• Mentor personnel on building a strong safety culture on the rig.
• Create specific QHSE Plans with participation of the rig personnel and the Rig Manager
• Request the resources from management for implementing QHSE initiatives
• Be a main player in incident analysis and implementation of corrective actions to improve HSE performance
• Maintaining the validity of the vessel’s class, flag state rules, regulatory and statutory certification, ISPS, ISM, Safety and Manning. Responsible for ensuring Emergency Response Plans are up to date
• Ensuring regular emergency drills are conducted and the results are satisfactory
• In overall command of the installation is emergency situations
• Request for Exemptions after putting controls in place to lower the risk
• Report directly and provide support to Rig Manager in the day to day management and long range stewardship of the rig.
• Perform the role of designated Offshore Installation Manager
• Responsible to manage all emergencies that may occur on the rig in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Holds budget accountability for operation and maintenance of the rig.
• Participates in and delegates regular inspections and audits to ensure the rig’s safety and conformance to Company policies.
• Responsible to ensure timely and accurate reporting of all incidents.
• Ensure operations are organized and planned to safely execute the Client’s well program.
• Maintain open communication with all personnel onboard the rig including client and third party personnel.
• Manage internal and external communications pertaining to safety and environmental aspects of the rig.
• Ensure that all manning levels and communication is reported back to the shore base office.
• Liaise with shore base to ensure that all competency issues of personnel are updated in accordance with company training programs.
• Communicate with personnel to develop their skills and motivation for their current position and next promotional position.
• Manage the performance appraisal process for the rig.
• Provide stewardship and adherence to the Permit to Work system.
• Acts as the ultimate approval authority for approvals within the Permit to Work System.
• Personally demonstrate a commitment safety and protection of the environment.
• Ensure that equipment integrity is maintained by supporting the execution of the company maintenance system.
• Ensure clear and comprehensive handovers are maintained with relief and monitor the handovers of other key supervisors onboard the rig.

Requirements

• Commitment to HSE
• Enthusiasm to build a new company with cultural diversity
• 10-15 years offshore experience (preferable Jack-up)
• At least 2 yrs in similar capacity
• Valid IWCF/IADC certificate – Supervisor Level.
• HPHT experience desirable
