Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

On behalf of our client a leading oil and gas operator that is based in Dubai we are looking to recruit an Instrument Technician. Reporting to the Instrument Supervisor you will be responsible for carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance and calibration of all electronic (PLC/DCS/SCADA) and pneumatic control system instruments in the field and workshop in the assigned field such as transmitters, control valves, shut down switches and vibration probes and install cabling as necessary, carry out routine/preventative maintenance of analyzers, fire and gas, all instrumentation and safety system, performs servicing, condition monitoring, fault diagnoses and restorative tasks on Emergency Shutdown system.

Requirements

The successful candidate must be degree educated or hold a 3 year diploma or apprenticeship in the instrument/control trade (equivalent to UK C&G/NVQ or ONC) Have 4/5 years electronic instrumentation maintenance experience in oil and gas including significant experience with field analyzers.
